Our Holiday Park Guidelines are to ensure all Guests have an enjoyable holiday experience. The guidelines are a balance between having a good time and getting a good night’s sleep.
Check-In: 2pm Check-Out: 10am
Bookings: All bookings must be made by an adult, 20 years or over, who will be present and responsible for the conduct of all guests at all times.
Behaviour & Conduct: Quietness between 10.30pm and 7am. New Year’s Eve is 1am (the only exception). Reasonable behaviour and dress at all times. No liquor to be consumed in park except on own site or in accommodation units. Excessive drinking and parties are forbidden. Illegal drugs will not be tolerated – Police will be called. Payment of a $50 per person behaviour bond may be required. Consideration must be shown at all times to other guests.
Swipe Card for Barrier Arm: One swipe card per vehicle – ask Reception if you require a second temporary card. Please do not use your card to let another vehicle in or out as this will de-activate your card. Please wait for the barrier arm to be down before swiping. Your card will de-activate at 10.30am on your day of departure.
Cleaning: The amenities are cleaned between 10.00-12.00pm each day. Please avoid using the amenities during these times to allow staff to clean thoroughly. A toilet will be made available. Please use the outside showers to wash sand off before entering showers.
Fish Cleaning: Please use the facility behind the amenities block.
Laundry Facilities: The Laundry is located by the Kitchen. Both the washing machines and dryers take $4.00 (2x$2.00 coins). Washing powder is 1x$2 coin in the dispenser on the wall. A washing line is behind the laundry.
Visitors: Your friends are welcome to visit you during your stay with us. However, we ask your Visitors to sign in at the office and stay no longer than 2 hours. Visitors wishing to stay longer than 2 hours need to come to the office to pay the $10 Visitor Charge. Visitors are Guests’ responsibility and consideration for other Guests needs to be taken. Visitors need to leave their vehicles outside the holiday park and leave by 9.30pm.
Caravans / Campervans: All our park power points have been upgraded to include RCD switches. All vans must be RCD compliant and comply with LPG Standard (NZS 5428:1996). All campervans and caravans must have their own wastewater container. All waste must be emptied in dump stations – there is a dump station adjacent to the campground.
Tents: Electricity can only be connected through an approved isolating transformer or RCD Safety Switch. Extension cords can be hired.
Parking: Parking is only on your allocated site – no parking on the camp road. One vehicle per site please.
Speed: As there are children in the camp, the vehicle speed is limited to a WALKING pace only.
Damage: Cost of damage to property or accommodation will be recovered from Guest.
Pets: Not admitted – unless service or guide dog.
Children: Children to be controlled and supervised by parents at all times. Helmets to be worn at all time in the park – NO bike riding after dusk.
Swimming: Swimming is safer in front of the LifeSaving Club. Please also adhere to the beach signs.
Rubbish: To be recycled or wrapped and placed in receptacles provided.
Internet: Wireless internet available – see Reception for prices.
DVD Player: DVD player available in lounge. See Reception for some movies available for guests. Please be courteous when using.
Opunake Beach Swimming: Swimming is safer in front of the LifeSaving Club. Please also adhere to the Life Guards when on duty as well as the beach signs.
South Taranaki District Council Paddling Pool: It is recommended to keep your head above the water.
